Regulated activity

In France, tattooing is regulated by the Public Health Code (Code de la santé publique, articles R1311-1 et seq.).

  • My tattooing activity is declared to the Agence régionale de santé (ARS) Grand Est, the regional health authority, as required by article R1311-2 of that code: declaration of 2 June 2026, acknowledged by a receipt (récépissé) dated 5 June 2026.
  • I completed the mandatory training in hygiene and sanitation (article R1311-3) from 8 to 10 December 2025 with Corpstech Formation in Ludres; my certificate was issued by the ARS Grand Est on 28 January 2026.
  • Before every tattoo, I give you written information on its permanence, its risks, contraindications, healing and aftercare, as required by the French ministerial order of 3 December 2008 (arrêté du 3 décembre 2008).

Consumer mediation

If you have a dispute about a booking or a tattoo, please send me a written complaint first, at contact@sergiodurotattoo.com. I will reply personally.

If this does not resolve the matter, you may refer it free of charge to the consumer mediator I am affiliated with (articles L612-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, Code de la consommation):

The mediator must be contacted within one year of your written complaint (article L612-2 of the French Consumer Code).

The tattoos shown on this website are my own work. Their photographs and the texts on the site are protected by French copyright law (Code de la propriété intellectuelle): © Sergio Duro, all rights reserved.

Some tattoos reproduce, or are inspired by, an existing artwork, a character or a public figure’s likeness. The rights in those works, characters and images belong to their respective owners.

These photographs may not be reproduced, distributed or reused, in whole or in part, without my prior written permission. This applies in particular to publication on another website, in another studio’s portfolio or on its social media, and to their use as a model for another tattoo. Unauthorised use constitutes copyright infringement (articles L122-4 and L335-2 et seq. of the French Intellectual Property Code).

Do you recognise your tattoo, or yourself, in a photo? If you would like it removed, email me with the page concerned. I will take it down as soon as possible from this website and my Instagram accounts, and you do not need to give a reason.
